Belinda's winning strategy?

Belinda Granger won Ironman Malaysia on Saturday, crediting the victory to her decision to accelerate her pace during the run and demoralise her nearest rival.

**As a post-script: Yvonne van Vlerken, who was second, said in her race report that her main objective on the day was to get a Kona spot and so when that was secure at about the 30km mark on the run, she was given the signal to ease back and not hammer her legs.

Both of these athletes will face each other in Roth and then in Kona. Perhaps an interesting rivalry is developing.
