Congrats to Alex, who decided to enter Port just weeks ago, and finished just over the 11-hour mark, followed soon after by Gez. And to Steve and Anthony who both crossed the line in just over the 12-hour mark.

Among other finishers on the day, Kristian and Chris obviously kept each other in sight at least through the finishing chute with Kristian crossing just four seconds ahead of Chris in 9:37.
For Kristian it was his second M-Dot this year after Malaysia and his second PB in as many races.
For Chris, tough as nails and one of the fiercest of competitors, he raced even though his preparation had been interrupted by injury.
A tip of the hat to Rod Grace, who crossed the line in 10.12.
[Both Kristian and Rod trained with the group and now are coaches in their own right, helping to spread the triathlon word! Chris has recently been training with Macca.]
Another Malaysian competitor who raced today, Stephen Firth, finished in 10:32.
