Nepean Tri

After the wild winds of Saturday afternoon, I was a bit worried about what the dawn would bring on Sunday. But there was no need to worry. The conditions were perfect.

It has to be one of the best value races - we received long-sleeve T shirts, anniversary mugs and a medal after crossing the finish line. And then there were the post-race draws for everything from spare tires to swim goggles to Oakley sunnies and Polar monitors, wetsuits and a new tri bike.

Among the contestants were Damo, Christophe, Steve Murray, Michael Moore, Ian Depree, Ian Phillipps, Tim Lindop, Stephen Firth, Stephen Elliott, Tony Golden and me.

Results online. I can speak only for me in saying that it does help to remember where you rack your bike so you can find it easily after you exit the swim, and then where to put it back on the rack after riding it. Oh well. Early season lessons.
