``Over 2000 athletes have entered the water here. The water is rough but but do-able. Athletes have been offered the option to do a duathlons if they are uncomfortable with the swim conditions. Very few appear to have accepted the offer.''

Sarah Kubsch had a 1:27 swim and a very solid 6:03 bike. No run splits for her yet.
