Dingo, Margreet and I head north and then west on Saturday night, arriving on the island of Langkawi via KL about midday on Sunday.

We have a week to enjoy the heat and humidity. As I type this note, there are 301 participants listed on the race website. There are 35 spots for Kona, though we don't yet know how they will be divided among the age groups.

The course, as we know it now, is a one-lap swim in Kuah Bay, then three laps on the bike and then four laps on the run.
