well done all on the w end...an exstremely hot couple of days where nutrition is everything and that includes rehydrating after sat ride...
on sunday some exellent performances on the run....i know it hurt but it will get better i promise u...u need to be tough to go through ironman at your fastest pace both physically and mentally....this is just preparing and conditioning u for that day....like wendo said ironman actually feels easier sometimes..i,m not sure she meant it because its all about getting everything rite...pace nutrition and strategy......if it goes rite u,ll have a good day....if u decide to drift off your plan with pace and nutrition it turns ugly......so practice practice prractice your pace and nutrition at every oppertunity and in different situations so u learn adjustments (eg weather)
lastly re pace....an example of a very very common thing that happens all the time every year and with every newcomer
damo and i were running in our race pace and all the sudden heard 2 peoples footsteps coming up so fast it wasn,t funny,before that they were a fair few hundred metres back.....NEVER EVER EVER DO THAT....ALWAYS DO "YOUR" PACE.....KNOWONE ELSES
in a long run u will blow....and blow they did....please all learn from these mistakes....this long stuff is a race of patience,u do your pace and wait for others to die
