Dingo's Thoughts

I just want to pass on my congratulations to everyone that raced on the weekend. Those first timers who crossed the line welcome to Ironman. I hope that it was everything that you expected it would be, and hope you decide to go around again, it can be very addictive.

Personally watching from the sidelines I had a wonderful day, and enjoyed watching you all. Here are some highlights:

Seeing Offie (the Animal) come second losing to an ex-pro and beating current Number 2 in the world. Absolutely awesome!!!!!!

Seeing Lisa, Gez and Emily (particularly Emily) having tough days but NEVER giving up and crossing the line. It is easy to give up, but the strength you get from finishing is priceless.

Seeing the smile on Thomas’ and Rob’s faces running the final few hundred metres, missed the others but I am sure it was the same huge smile.

Damo having a great swim, and doing a massive PB

And last but not least watching Alice and Eva battle each other and themselves coming 3rd and 4th and BOTH going to Hawaii!!!!!!! WOOOHOOO.

And congratulations to JH for so far getting 5 of his athletes to Hawaii this year (awesome) with hopefully Wendo and Grace to qualify this weekend, as well as 5 virgins across the line.

Well done to all, I am motivated to get training again. Anyone up for a run tomorrow?
