Port Mac - 1800 spots

Port Mac will now be open to 1800 athletes .. about 300 more than last year .. [It will be interesting to see how many more people are walking during the swim]

Race Director Ken Baggs points out that everyone wanting to qualify must complete in at least one race in the Snap Australian Half Ironman Series, and if not given a qualifying slot at the race they compete at, to make sure they enter the “End of Season Lottery” – see “Lottery” button on www.ironmanoz.com / Event Information / Lottery.

This lottery will be drawn on 17 January 2007.

There are only 2 races remaining in the Series – Campbells Shepparton Half Ironman on 10 December 2006 and the Bruce Gowans Toyota Tasmanian Half Ironman on 14 January 2007.
